Writing - Review: People Are Wrong

A short review of "People Are Wrong":

I ventured over to see the "off-off Broadway" show "People Are Wrong. The show is currently playing at P.S. 122.: Performance Space 122 until Sunday, March 30th. What once was a public school is now a place for shows to be held. A fun and energetic comedy is brought to life with performances feature David Driver (Runt), John Fansburgh (They Might Be Giants), Maggie Moore (Hedwig), and Chris Anderson (Muckafurguson), vocal group STC - Sean Altman, Tricia Scotti, Connie Petruk (as the disipples), and song-writing (as well as performance) talents of Julia Greenberg and Robin Goldwasser.

"People Are Wrong" is the musical tale of a charismatic cult leader disguised as a plant loving gardener. A pair of new homeowners move to the Catskills to plan their wedding at their new home. Wanting to improve their lawn, they contact Xanthus' through Agway (a local gardening service), run by his disciples. Trouble starts when Xanthus plans on building a rocket to Dimention 6 from the visions he experiences and the local lumberjack reinforcing the idea he's from outter space.

In the reality of it all, everyone's brought back down to Earth with the realization that never get yourself suckered into something that looks too good to be true, and drugs and electrical explosions are a very powerful force in the times of hippies.
