Writing - Give Kids the World

My first time volunteering at Give Kids the World.

Volunteering at Give Kids the World on Friday was wonderful. I loved it, even though my back hurt for 2 days. Dan and Patrick helped readjust it.

Incase you don't know what GKTW is, it's a fun place for terminally ill children to visit, play, have fun, forget about hospital walls, and enjoy themselves. Most of the kids look normal and are energetic. The kids who came were cheerful and happy to play with Kuddlepup and Rollie over in The Castle, while Randy and JR puppeteered to Trout Fishing In America, Aqua, and other fun music group songs. I swear I've never seen Rollie so soaked!

Some kids held Rollie's paws and jumped around. I sat on the floor and played with a little girl who liked to dance, but couldn't stand up without assistance. One particular girl liked poking his nose, where I would make *HJEP* sounds.

The Funday group were treated to ice cream afterwards, and as I sat I looked around at the happy faces. I later returned in October.
