Writing - Mascotting at the Long Island Ducks

Who is that masked wolf/raccoon/fox/coyote/dog? This was today's question of the day for me.

I spent the day at Long Island Duck's Citibank Park as Rollie Mutt. The Long Island Ducks held their mascot day. Richard "Rapid T. Rabbit" C. invited me, among others to join in the fun. Richard asked me to write an introduction to be announced. So I was announced as the following:

"From Suffolk County, MLA Production's Hawaiian Stylin' Long Island Puppy: Rollie Mutt"

It was awesome. I plaued my typical Rollie character. High 5's, pointing at others hats and mine, blowing kisses, poking noses, having my nose poked (*HJEP!), dancing with grandparents, parents and their kids. Autographs were signed, photos taken, and dying in the heat. If you know me well enough I like to dump water in my head. IT HELPS! What I didn't like were three girls pulling on Rollie's tail and ears. I can feel that because everything is close to my body. After three times, they ran off.

I went onto the field five times:
-Kick Ball (always picked last)
-Introduction (they announced our names, and had us dance to a never ending randition of "YMCA"...I wanted to DIE!)
-Golf Judging (someone putted kick balls across the field, and I picked the one that went the farthest)
-Dizzy Bat Race (the person I was encouraging to spin her head around on the bat fell over and lost)
-Kids Run Around the Bases (I went out to do autographs, and I got to run on the field)

Lincoln, who went as Pattington Bear, was the smartest person there. He brought a fan! The LI Ducks staff were kind enough to let us use the weight room/batting training area to cool off and get water to drink, as well as vouchers for food. One of them even gave me a sports bottle to use. The guy who plays Quarker Jack (The LI Ducks mascot) was greatful when he saw Lincoln's fan and plopped right infront it.

One of the nice staffers, Matt, had three players sign a baseball for my brother. I noticed there were lots of balls scattered around the practice area, so I absconded one and got another one signed by our group.
